Welcome to 2026

How is it already March? For many of us, the year has begun at a full pace—whether that’s been moving to a new place, settling back into work or school routines, or adjusting to new seasons and circumstances. Wherever this year has found you, we want you to know that we see you. Our hope is that even in the midst of the busyness, you’re able to find moments for rest, a little fun, and the love and encouragement of those around you.

Solid Rock Ministry has had the privilege of attending several Defence Welcome Days (Adelaide, Canberra, Townsville & Wagga Wagga) and we look forward to many more opportunities to connect with our wider ADF community.

Connection is one of those simple words that carries enormous weight. We were not designed to carry life alone: not the joy, not the grief, not the exhaustion, and certainly not the long, quiet stretches in between. Whether we are newly posted, recently transitioned, or simply finding our feet in a new season, the longing to be known and to belong is deeply human. At Solid Rock Ministry, we see again and again how even small moments of shared presence, a meal, a conversation, a picnic blanket, a name remembered, can become anchors of hope. Connection doesn’t fix everything, but it reminds us that we don’t have to face everything by ourselves.

The Christian story tells us that relationship is not an optional extra: it is at the very heart of how God meets us. Scripture names this love that moves toward us first: “Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another” (1 John 4:11). Our connection with one another grows out of God’s deep, faithful connection with us. It is not something we have to manufacture or perform; it is something we receive, and then pass on, in ordinary, human ways: through listening, through showing up, through choosing again and again to make room for one another.

At Solid Rock, connection is about creating spaces where people can show up as they are, strong or tired, settled or unsettled, and discover that they matter, that their story matters, and that they belong. In a world that often pushes us to be self-sufficient, we choose to practice something braver: reaching out, sitting together, and building community. One conversation. One shared moment. One year at a time.

Would you consider being a Local Link for us? Our Local Links are  women in various locations who advocate for Solid Rock Ministry and are passionate about seeing women thrive in their communities. This can be done in many different ways, depending on the local need and your personal capacity. We are incredibly grateful for these women who faithfully serve by welcoming and supporting those around them. RETREAT 2026 - Fully Known, Fully Surrendered

🌿 Get Ready for Our Annual Retreat! 🌿

We’re already preparing for another incredible weekend away — a time to pause, be refreshed in God’s Word, and enjoy the laughter and connection that make our retreats so special. Whether you’re catching up with familiar faces or meeting new friends, you’ll leave encouraged and renewed.

This year’s theme is Fully Known, Fully Surrendered.

Staying at The Tops Conference Centre in the beautiful Stanwell Tops, we will share time in God’s Word, meals, and fellowship together, while also allowing space to explore, rest, and spend time doing what fills your cup.

We look forward to sharing this special time away together. 🌿

💰 Cost:

• $220 per person – For ladies traveling from ACT and NSW

• $100 per person – For ladies traveling from all other States/Territories

(Cost includes accommodation and meals for the weekend.)

👶 Babies are welcome! Please let us know in advance so we can arrange suitable room allocations.

🚆 Travel Assistance:
For those flying in, you can take a train from Sydney Airport to Helensburgh, where we will have someone ready to meet you and bring you to the retreat.

Join us for our first National Activity for the year

While our kitchen benches may be miles apart, sharing smiles, laughter and friendly faces through the screen has a wonderful way of lifting spirits, bringing joy, and strengthening connection.

We will join Pasta Journey for a live online class and learn the art of making perfect, fluffy, and soft gnocchi! This virtual class is for two people per screen, so grab your partner, a child or invite a friend over for some fun!

Whilst free, there will be a small cost involved with the purchase of ingredients, the shopping list will be sent to you once booked in. Solid Rock Ministry has received funding for this activity so that we can provide opportunities for community and connection for our people.
